About Me

When working with clients, I tailor my approach to suit each individual, drawing from a range of theories and techniques. I will provide a safe, supportive environment to allow you the space to explore and better understand your thoughts and feelings, without judgement.

My core training is Humanistic Gestalt, which in practice involves a focus on self-awareness and understanding your thoughts, feelings, and emotions in the present moment. Increased understanding of yourself can create powerful and long-lasting change, allowing you to see your life and your current situation with a new perspective.

Gestalt therapy is an effective approach for a number of issues, including (but not limited to) anxiety and depression, stress, loss, low self-esteem, and relationship problems.

As well as working in private practice, I am also the Clinical Lead of a counselling service charity based in Winchester.

My Qualifications

  • Diploma of Higher Education Humanistic Gestalt Counselling

  • Diploma in Supervision (Advanced Specialist Training Status with NCS)

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion

  • BSc (Hons) Psychology

  • Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling

I also attend regular and varied training and my own Clinical Supervision.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I work in accordance with their Ethical Framework. I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

There are many kinds of counselling and counsellors to choose from, it can feel confusing if you aren't sure what is right for you. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
